1. Who we are

This policy applies to OpenYP.com, operated by OpenYP, LLC ("OpenYP," "we," "us," or "our"). If you have questions, contact us at privacy@openyp.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the directory:

• Listing data — name, business name, city, category, bio, and any other information you voluntarily submit when creating a listing.
• Email address — collected when you request a magic-link sign-in. Used only for authentication. Not shared with third parties.
• Wallet address — used for on-chain identity verification. Public by nature of blockchain technology.
• Usage data — standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging.

We do not collect payment information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

• To display your listing in the directory (if you created one).
• To send magic-link authentication emails.
• To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
• To improve the service and diagnose technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

4. Public listing data

Information you submit for a public listing — including name, business name, city, and category — is intentionally made public and accessible via our website and API. Do not include information in your listing that you do not want to be publicly visible.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers — infrastructure and hosting providers (e.g. Cloudflare) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of OpenYP, our users, or the public.

6. Your rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing privacy@openyp.com. We will respond within 30 days. You may delete your listing at any time from your account dashboard. Note that on-chain transactions (wallet verifications) are permanent by nature of blockchain technology and cannot be deleted by us.

7. Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to store your theme preference (dark/light mode). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children

OpenYP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at privacy@openyp.comand we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date above. Continued use of OpenYP after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
